The Manawatu Wanganui Golf Men's Masters team is off to a great start at the Freyberg Masters Interprovincial in Hamilton. At the half way point in the competition they have had 4 wins from 4, which places them amongst the leaders of the event. Today also was a great chance to relax, as they had the bye on the same day that only one round is played by all teams.
The other teams emerging as the biggest contenders for the title include defending champions, Bay of Plenty, and Wellington - 2 sides that started the week looking very strong on paper. Wellington today posted a very good win against another one of the likely teams, Tasman, to make it just the 3 teams remaining without a loss.
This event could go right down to the wire, with many crucial games left over the final two days.
