Women ready for Interprovincial

The Women's Interprovincial gets underway tomorrow at Akarana Golf Club, in Auckland. The Manawatu Wanganui team of Tara Raj, Lisa Herbert, Brydie Hodge, Sera Raj,  Natalie Lyttle and Jill Hall (reserve), are all ready for their first round match against Hawkes Bay/Poverty Bay tomorrow afternoon. They have a bye in the first round tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately the team suffered a big set back with the late withdrawal of original number 2, Zhouyi Hu, due to injury. This has resulted in another young player, Natalie Lyttle, joining Sera Raj on debut at this Championship..

Zhouyi was a big part of the team last year that were runners up. Also missing from last years team is Lily Griffin who this year left our shores to take up a scholarship in the US.

Number 1 Tara Raj will be aiming for a repeat of last years player of the tournament achievement where she won all 8 of her matches at number 1. Raj recently finished runner up in the NZ Amateur, so goes into the event with some good recent form.
