Congratulations to both the Girls and the Boys sides for very good Junior Interprovincial results so far heading into finals day.
The girls team won both matches today to remain unbeaten alongside North Harbour in their section, with both teams finishing equal on team wins and individual games won. They came so close to making the final, but unfortunately lost in a playoff against North Harbour to decide the top of the section. North Harbour goes on to play Auckland in the final tomorrow, despite Auckland being one of the teams Manawatu Wanganui beat earlier today 4 - 2 (Aucklands only loss). But as the results played out they still finished top of their section to make the final. With Manawatu Wanganui finishing 2nd in their section they will play off against Wellington tomorrow for 3rd and 4th.
The Boys also had a good finish today winning their final match 4.5 - 1.5 against one of the Waikato teams. Unfortunately a loss to Bay of Plenty this morning, left them out of contention for the final, but a third place finish in their pool of 6 teams, means they will play off for 5th and 6th tomorrow against North Harbour. Auckland plays Bay of Plenty in the final.
