The Boys and Girls Interprovincials got underway this morning with Manawatu Wanganui this year represented in both events. With a mix of experienced juniors and some that are much newer to the game, this is a great experience for all our local players competing.
The Junior Boys team playing in Cambridge had a winning start with a 5 - 1 win over Taranaki. They take on Otago this afternoon.

The Girls team is competing in Rotorua, and after a couple of years absence the Manawatu Wanganui team got off to a good start this morning with a 3 - 3 half against defending champions North Harbour. Lily Griffin, Sera Raj and Tori Maraku all recorded wins in round 1. Congratulations in particular to Tori, as this was her first ever competitive one on one match.
