Junior Development Quad at Marton

On 19/20 April Manawatu Wanganui competes in the annual Junior Development quad against Wellington and Taranaki. This is an event specifically designed to give our up and coming juniors some experience in matchplay competition to prepare them for future rep events. A team of 10 boys make up a team to compete in the boys competition and girls enter into a separate matchplay competition. Wellington has 2 boys teams to make it a four team event, due to Wairarapa no longer having enough competitive players to make their own team. The players all stay at Huntley School overnight.

Marton Golf Club who kindly allow their course to be used for the event are offered reciprocal rights for their members at other courses in the district on Wednesday 20 April.

The Manawatu Wanganui Boys team is:

Campbell McHugh (Manawatu)

Bradley Wallis (Wanganui)

Fergus Smith (Wanganui)

Bradley McSherry (Palmerston North)

Steven Bamford (Manawatu)

Anthony Ilton-Maher (Foxton)

Kaleb Idemaru (Manawatu)

Sam Smith (Manawatu)

Cameron Giddens (Levin)

Ethan Dodds (Manawatu)

The girls so far entered in to the girls competition:

Kyra Garrett (Wanganui)

Lily Griffin (Manawatu)
