Munn earns conditional status in China

Manawatu's Josh Munn finished tied for 19th in the China PGA global qualifying tournament to earn himself conditional status for this years China PGA Tour. Munn narrowly missed full status which went to the top 15 finishes, however he should still get into enough events to make turning professional worthwhile. If Munn does well on this tour it can see him qualify for the tour in the US, as Josh Geary achieved last year.

However Munn will still have one event left to play as an Amateur. This weeks Australasian Tour School final stage could earn Munn status on that tour with a good result. As he entered that event as an amateur he must delay turning pro until after this weeks final stage.

Manawatu Wanganui Golf is very proud of the achievements of Josh as an amateur, and we are very excited to be able to follow another local player in the professional golf ranks.
