Manawatu's Josh Munn earnt himself yet another 2nd place finish on the Charles Tour yesterday to make it 4 straight seconds this year.
Previously he finished 2nd at the LawnMaster Classic shooting 20 under par, 2nd at the Muriwai Open at 15 under par, and 2nd again at the Akarana Open at 12 under par.
At the Carrus Tauranga Open, Munn finished at 13 under and one shot back from seasoned professional Mark Brown. After a slow start to his 4th round Munn stormed home with 3 birdies in his closing stretch to challenge Brown for the title.
This result gives Munn a combined 60 under par from four Charles Tour events this year with an average score of 3.75 under par per round. Not bad for a player that is still an amateur! With a professional career beckoning we wish Munn all the best for similar success on more lucrative tours around the world.
Manawatu's Josh Sedgwick and Guy Perry both missed the half way cut.
