Horowhenua Open Draw

A good quality field of 84 players have entered the HMC Horowhenua Open being played this Sunday at Levin. Most of the Manawatu Wanganui rep hopefuls have entered the event, along with many others keen to participate and enjoy a great course and event.

The event is the first on the Manawatu Wanganui Golf Order of Merit series, which will be followed by the Ricoh Wanganui Open on August 23, Manawatu Wanganui Strokeplay (Challenge Cup) at Castlecliff on September 27, and the Mortgage Link Manawatu Open on October 18. Gross and Net rankings will be updated after each event.

A guest entry has also been provided to local player Tyler Hodge whom has recently turned professional and already has one victory on the Kiwi Pro Tour. While Tyler cannot claim the main trophy, he will use the event to gain some tournament practice in preparation for further pro tournaments and qualifying tours later in the year.

The Horowhenua Open titles will be wide open this year with a number of players very capable of winning.

Late entries will be taken for the event. You can enter online at http://www.mwga.co.nz/2015_horo_open until 5pm Thursday, and after that you will need to contact the Levin Golf Club on 06-368 6189 to check if there are spaces still free.
