Manawatu/Wanganui win Eagles Junior Quad


The future of golf in Manawatu Wanganui is looking promising after our 12 person Junior team won the annual Eagles Quadrangular at Pahiatua on Sunday. The event is played against Hawkes Bay and Wellington, in a handicap stableford tournament format. Teams are made up of boys and girls with the top 6 between 5.0 and 10.0 handicap and the bottom 6 between 10.1 and 18.0. Any players that are outside this range play off a reduced handicap to qualify for the event.

This years team was very young, with all players aged between 10 and 16.
